Getting started
What is Speak Easy?
Speak Easy is a quiet way to practise thinking on your feet. You get one random prompt a day, two minutes to answer out loud, a private recording, and short AI feedback on how it landed.
Do I need any equipment?
No. You only need a device with a microphone and a moment of quiet. It works in your browser, so there is nothing to install.
How long does a session take?
About two minutes to speak, then a minute or so to read your feedback. You can do a single prompt and be done, or keep going if you have the time.
I am not a confident speaker, is this for me?
Especially for you. There is no audience and no pressure, just you and a prompt. The whole point is to build the habit gently, one short answer at a time.
Recordings and privacy
Where are my recordings stored?
Your recordings are saved privately to your own account so you can listen back and hear your progress over time. Only you can see them.
Will my recordings be used to train AI?
No. Your recordings are private and are never used to train models. They exist for your benefit alone.
Can I delete a recording?
Yes. You can delete any recording whenever you like, and it is removed from your account. You stay in control of what you keep.
Plans and billing
What is free?
The free plan gives you three prompts a day, AI feedback on every answer, saved recordings, and all ten categories. No card is needed.
What does Pro add?
Pro includes everything in Free, plus unlimited daily prompts, filters by category and difficulty, and the option to save your favourites. It is there when you want to practise more often.
How much is Pro?
Pro is £6.99 a month, or £49 a year (about £4.08 a month, saving 41 percent). You can choose whichever suits you.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Pro comes with a 7-day free trial, so you can try the extra features before you decide. You will not be charged during the trial.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. You can cancel any time from your account, and you will keep Pro until the end of your billing period. There is no lock-in.
The method
Why only two minutes?
Two minutes is long enough to shape a real answer and short enough to feel manageable. It keeps the practice focused, and it mirrors the kind of quick thinking most of us need in everyday life.
What if I go blank?
That is completely normal, and learning to recover is part of the skill. You can pause, start again, or simply talk through your thoughts. There is no wrong way to practise.
Is this affiliated with Toastmasters?
No. Speak Easy is an independent app, made in the UK. It can sit happily alongside any speaking group you belong to, but it is not connected to one.
